Garnet Healing Properties
Garnet is generally burgundy,
but rarely, it occurs as a very beautiful, rich and heavy semi-transluscent
green stone, called Uvarovite, Tsavorite or Grossular Garnet. The Tsvaorite
variety is generally the most expensive and brilliant green, while Uvarovite
and Grossular Garnet tend to be more olive in color.
Mystical Properties: Most often referred to
as a gemstone of
money and prosperity,
it is said to draw wealth to the wearer.

Considered a gemstone of the Heart Chakra
by Natural Healers. Thought to gently heal a broken heart. Considered
a powerful healing gemstone, Green Garnet is thought to remove toxins

Healing Properties: Green Garnet is considered

Scientific Properties: Composed of Calcium Chromium
Silicate, the stone gets it green coloration from Chromium. Garnet may
occur as crusts, crystals or massive deposits. Garnet is generally identified
in the field by its characteristic cubic hexoctahedral or dodecahedral
crystals.
Garnet is really a family of stones: Pyrope ( generally the blood red
variety), Almandine (Orangey-red to Brown), Andradite (Brown, Black and
sometimes Yellowish-green to Yellowish orange), Grossular (Clear, Orange,
Pink, Yellow, Green, Brown), Spessartine (Yellowish Orange), and Uvarovites
(Deep Emerald Green), Tsavorites (Precious Green to Yellowish Green),
Rhodolite (Purplish red to red),
Hessonite (Yellow orange to red).
Important localities include Tanzania and Russia.
